Membership supports a full-time legislative advocate in Sacramento who actively and aggressively works to block legislation that undermines the rights of criminal defendants and impedes the work of criminal defense professionals.

Membership also supports the important work of CACJ's Amicus Curiae Committee. This Committee consists of a network of CACJ members who volunteer their time to respond to significant cases and help set good precedent on criminal justice issues.

CACJ member's annually receive a membership directory that lists the contact information for all of our members both alphabetically and by county. The Directory allows attorneys from around the state to find you for a referenrral or for you to confidentially recommend attorneys in other counties. CACJ member's also receive our quarterly magazine Forum. This respected periodical includes informative articles on substantive and technical issues, timely information on events and programs, and humorous notes.
