The Contempt Defense Manual
The 2007 Contempt Defense Manual is designed to allow quick access to specific areas in emergency situations. There are specific chapters on direct, indirect, hybrid contempt, sanctions and contempt in the federal courts. The manual also addresses areas of law and policy in the chapter entitled Appellate Review of Contempt or Sanction Orders. Finally, the prospect of taking action against judges who too often improperly invoke the contempt power is reviewed in the chapter entitled "The Commission on Judicial Performance".
