Introducing the CACJ Members-Only Brief Bank
Welcome to the portal for the new CACJ Brief Bank. This collection of sample briefs, arguments and research is available to members free of charge. It is organized under topic headings built around the chronology of a criminal case, similar to the organization in the CEB publication California Criminal Law Procedure and Practice.
Whether you are looking for a template for a suppression motion, citations to cases on sentencing issues, or challenges to excessive bail, you can find inspiration and examples here. We all stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before - and now your access to the work of your colleagues in CACJ has moved into the 21st century.Members can access the Brief Bank Here
The contents of this searchable Bank are held in a Blog format, with each blog having the ability to accept comments and new submissions so that members can build this resource. When you click on the link you will be taken to the table of contents. Browse through the chapter headings to find your topic or issue and click on the title to enter the content page. You will see the title of the blog at the top, with links just below. The “All Blogs” link will take you back to the table of contents. Just below the links you will find the “Search all posts” box. Searches will cover all of the brief bank, not just the chapter from which you are searching.
CACJ cannot guarantee the accuracy or currency of the materials contributed to this Bank. As with any other research tool you should check cites and subsequent developments before relying on any authority cited.
